NXTUS is a non-profit organization providing services to help entrepreneurs grow companies of significance. The organization connects a community of mentors and resources, capital for startups and customers to support growth. NXTUS works with entrepreneurs and communities around Kansas and would like to share about its programs and services for the benefit of the Goddard community.
Presenters: Amber Dunn – Amber is a Wichita native and graduate of Wichita State University. She began her career at RSM Marketing working within several roles on the Account Service team, most recently serving as the Client Service Director. Over the past year, Amber has worked with a local startup in the personal wellness space and has a natural desire to support entrepreneurial-minded companies gain traction in their business.
Wichita Business Journal named her an Emerging Leader in the 2015/16 class and she was featured on the Women Who Lead in Professional Services list in 2018. In her spare time, Amber teaches group fitness classes at Opti-Life, a local health and wellness center, and enjoys spending time with her partner Peter and their two big dogs.
Amber joined the NXTUS team in January as the Program Manager and will own the day-to-day management of the NXTSTAGE Accelerator and Pilot Competitions.
Ian Worrell – Ian joined NXTUS in January 2022 after 16 years in community banking at INTRUST Bank, with a focus in commercial and small business lending over the past 8 years. Outside of work, he has been an active community advocate serving both civic and charitable causes. His move to the NXTUS team provided an opportunity to combine his finance background and passion for community in a new and different way. Ian will serve as Program Manager for the organization's capital-focused programs around angel investor members, corporate sponsors, and capital partners. Love for Wichita and the South Central Kansas community and helping businesses succeed are what drive his passion.
