2024 Goddard Main Street Market Entertainment Registration

The Goddard Main Street Market (GMSM) committee is looking for entertainment/street performers/Buskers to perform during the Main Street Markets in April, May, June, July, August and September. 

Registration does not guarantee a performance spot or time. Performers should be present at the Market between 2pm and 5pm unless otherwise arranged by the GMSM Committee. A member of the GMSM committee will contact you with details if you are selected to participate. Selections are made by the GMSM and are based on time availability, registration date and genre. 

Rules for performers:
1. All entertainment must be family friendly. 
2. Must be respectful of the GMSM and vendors. 
3. The GMSM will not provide sound or a stage. Electricity can be requested but is not guaranteed. 
4. The GMSM does not allow any promotion or campaigning of politics or political topics. This includes but is not limited to, clothing,      Signage, verbal remarks or speeches. 

ACKNOWLEDGMENT:
I understand the rules and regulations of the show and will comply. I realize that failure to comply may result in expulsion from the market. I hereby release and discharge the Goddard Main Street Market  from any and all liability for damages or injuries to myself and my personal property or any person during the festival. I have read and understand all rules and regulations set forth by the Goddard Main Street Market.

Goddard's Main Street Market will take place the second Sunday April - September on Main Street and in Linear Park from 2pm - 5pm.

The Market includes crafters, home based merchants as well as businesses and community organizations. See below for specific registration information. 

The 2024 Goddard Main Street Market will take place the second Sunday from April – September from 2pm – 5pm along Main Street between 2nd Street and Linear Park. 

Vendor booths will start at Santa Fe and Main with #1 on the East side of the street. Vendors you can now register for the 2024 Markets and you can select your own booth space. Please keep in mind that booth numbers and locations are not exact and may be adjusted due to various factors. When selecting your space please note that this is only meant to be a guide. 

Main Street Market Vendor. Vendor registration is $25 per Market attending. Price will be added once you select booth location. If you would like more than one space you can select two spaces. Please do not select Food Truck locations for vendor booths. 

NonProfits: Please use the discount code NP24. Please note you must be able to show proof of non-profit status. 

Food Trucks: Please select a Food Truck option in the vendor booth selection. Food Truck spaces are not reserved and will be first come first served. 

PLEASE NOTE: Booth space will not be confirmed until payment is received in full. Payments made the day of the Market must be arranged with the Goddard Chamber in advance. If you represent a business that only allows one affiliate at each event, you must pay your registration at least one week in advance as there is often a waiting list. 
Vendor Cost:
Vendor Cost is $25 per Market for a 15’x10’ space.
Food Trucks add $10 per Market.
Extra Vendor Space: A extra vendor space (for businesses requiring more than a 15’x10’ space) is available for $10. If you are registering for two spaces, please use the discount code: MSM224 for a $10 discount. This may only be used when registering for more than one space. 

Electricity is limited but can be added on a first come first served basis for $10.

Set up: Traffic will be blocked on Main Street from 2nd Street at 2pm so we ask that all vendors are set up by 1:45pm.

Vendor deliveries (which need to be made by vehicle) need to be completed before 1:45pm

Check In: All vendors (with the exception of Food Trucks) must enter onto Main Street from the North (Kellogg - US 54). Check in will be as you enter the barricaded area. Check in will begin at 12:30pm. (please do not arrive before 12:30 as you will not be allowed to check in early)

Special Requests: Special requests such as booth location, or booth placement for similar vendors, must be made in writing one week prior. All requests will be taken into consideration, however, we cannot guarantee booth placement. 

Please note: No Tables, Tents or Chairs will be provided. 

No refunds will not be issued for any reason. No shows will be invoiced. All outstanding invoices for previous events (including no shows) must be paid before booth space will be confirmed.

Responsibility for Loss or Theft: Vendors shall be solely responsible for any loss, theft or damage to property or work displayed and will not hold the City of Goddard or Goddard Chamber of Commerce for liability of such. By registering your booth, you agree to these terms.

Rejection: The Goddard Main Street Market Committee reserves the right to reject any entry for any reason. 

State Regulations: Collecting Sales Tax at special events ensures a level playing field to all customers and vendors, maintains tax compliance with Kansas tax laws and regulations, and improves the local economy. Sales tax is paid to the retailer/vendor by the consumer, remitted to the State by the retailer/vendor and distributed by the State to the City and County where the sale is made. 

Kansas requires that all persons and entities making retail sales, collecting admissions, and/or renting a tangible personal property in Kansas, collect and remit sales tax, even if selling only one time per year. This includes not-for-profit organizations that are not tax-exempt.

Neighbors United 2024

This annual event brings community members, organizations, and businesses together for a day of volunteering together!

We are so excited that you want to join our amazing volunteer team to help bring as much good as we can to the folks in our community.
 
2023 Neighbors United event will take place Saturday, April 27, 2024!

Details for 2024:
  • Groups to register their project on Chamber website www.GoddardChamber.net by April 1.
  • Groups can apply for a grant if they need project money. Grant requests must be submitted with registration by April 1. 
  • The committee will approve grants the week of April 10th.
  • We ask that each group try and find their own community project. If you have a group but no project, please go ahead and register and we will do our best to match a project for your group. 
  • If you are in need and have a project request, please select the option of register a Project The Committee will do our best to complete your project. 
  • Photos will be taken of projects for social media and promotion of NU.  
  • If you/your business would like to be a sponsor of NU 2024, please contact the Chamber Office at 316-833-8385.

2024 National Night Out Vendor Registration
8/9/2024

This is a great opportunity to get in front of the community of Goddard. 
  1. Booths should be open from 6:00pm until 9pm. 
  2. We ask that all booths and activities be set up by 6:00 PM.  You may start setting up after 4:00 in the afternoon.  If you are starting to set up after 5:00, you will have to carry everything to your booth.  You cannot drive or park by your spot after that time.
  3. Be aware that Santa Fe Street will be blocked off by the city and no cars will be able to park on this street west of the Cedar except for deliveries and Tanganyika Wildlife Park Exhibitors. We have to keep Santa Fe cleared for emergency traffic.  Main Street from Santa Fe to South Street will also be closed. 
  4. Selling any type of merchandise is NOT ALLOWED at this event. You may, however, promote your business and display merchandise. 
  5. Non Profits and Charities who wish to raise money at this event, MUST have prior approval by the National Night Out Committee. 
  6. The event is expected to be a family event that DOES NOT COST anything.  Businesses and other groups can have interactive booths, games, pass out information and have displays.  At the last NNO in the Park, we had between 2,000 and 2,500 attend. 
  7. Booth assignments will be made by August 6th and emailed to you as well as posted on different social media sites. 
  8. If you need electricity or water, pick that booth option and we will try to accommodate everyone as needed but it will be a first come first serve basis. 
  9. Everyone is asked to stay around and help clean up trash, clean and load tables, and put moon walks and other event activities away.  Some organizations have really worked hard to bring extra stuff, but it is difficult to get enough people for cleanup.  YOUR SUPPORT IS REALLY NEEDED TO MAKE THIS A SUCCESSFUL EVENT.
  10. Dinner will be distributed to all vendor booths prior to the food line opening. Please indicate how many people will attend to staff your booth so we are able to provide food to you. 
Vendor booths are $25. $15 from each vendor fee will be donated to a non-profit who provides services to or in connection with public safety organizations. This non-profit will be designated by the National Night Out Committee.

Goddard's Main Street Market will take place the second Sunday April - September on Main Street and in Linear Park from 2pm - 5pm.

The Market includes crafters, home based merchants as well as businesses and community organizations. See below for specific registration information. 

The 2024 Goddard Main Street Market will take place the second Sunday from April – September from 2pm – 5pm along Main Street between 2nd Street and Linear Park. 

Vendor booths will start at Santa Fe and Main with #1 on the East side of the street. Vendors you can now register for the 2024 Markets and you can select your own booth space. Please keep in mind that booth numbers and locations are not exact and may be adjusted due to various factors. When selecting your space please note that this is only meant to be a guide. 

Main Street Market Vendor. Vendor registration is $25 per Market attending. Price will be added once you select booth location. If you would like more than one space you can select two spaces. Please do not select Food Truck locations for vendor booths. 

NonProfits: Please use the discount code NP24. Please note you must be able to show proof of non-profit status. 

Food Trucks: Please select a Food Truck option in the vendor booth selection. Food Truck spaces are not reserved and will be first come first served. 

PLEASE NOTE: Booth space will not be confirmed until payment is received in full. Payments made the day of the Market must be arranged with the Goddard Chamber in advance. If you represent a business that only allows one affiliate at each event, you must pay your registration at least one week in advance as there is often a waiting list. 
Vendor Cost:
Vendor Cost is $25 per Market for a 15’x10’ space.
Food Trucks add $10 per Market.
Extra Vendor Space: A extra vendor space (for businesses requiring more than a 15’x10’ space) is available for $10. If you are registering for two spaces, please use the discount code: MSM224 for a $10 discount. This may only be used when registering for more than one space. 

Electricity is limited but can be added on a first come first served basis for $10.

Set up: Traffic will be blocked on Main Street from 2nd Street at 2pm so we ask that all vendors are set up by 1:45pm.

Vendor deliveries (which need to be made by vehicle) need to be completed before 1:45pm

Check In: All vendors (with the exception of Food Trucks) must enter onto Main Street from the North (Kellogg - US 54). Check in will be as you enter the barricaded area. Check in will begin at 12:30pm. (please do not arrive before 12:30 as you will not be allowed to check in early)

Special Requests: Special requests such as booth location, or booth placement for similar vendors, must be made in writing one week prior. All requests will be taken into consideration, however, we cannot guarantee booth placement. 

Please note: No Tables, Tents or Chairs will be provided. 

No refunds will not be issued for any reason. No shows will be invoiced. All outstanding invoices for previous events (including no shows) must be paid before booth space will be confirmed.

Responsibility for Loss or Theft: Vendors shall be solely responsible for any loss, theft or damage to property or work displayed and will not hold the City of Goddard or Goddard Chamber of Commerce for liability of such. By registering your booth, you agree to these terms.

Rejection: The Goddard Main Street Market Committee reserves the right to reject any entry for any reason. 

State Regulations: Collecting Sales Tax at special events ensures a level playing field to all customers and vendors, maintains tax compliance with Kansas tax laws and regulations, and improves the local economy. Sales tax is paid to the retailer/vendor by the consumer, remitted to the State by the retailer/vendor and distributed by the State to the City and County where the sale is made. 

Kansas requires that all persons and entities making retail sales, collecting admissions, and/or renting a tangible personal property in Kansas, collect and remit sales tax, even if selling only one time per year. This includes not-for-profit organizations that are not tax-exempt.

2024 Goddard Fall Festival Parade Entry
10/12/2024

The Fall Festival Parade will be held on Saturday morning (October 12) starting at 10:00 AM and travel north on Main Street from 23rd Street South to 3rd and Main.  (Please note, parade route may change. Changes will be sent to participants before the week of the parade)

Spectators may bring chairs or blankets to sit on and may line either side of Main Street, but are asked to stay along the curb line or far enough back to allow adequate room for the parade to travel.  Please note, there is a sensory sensitive area located to the South of Linear Park. Please see Fall Fest map for exact location.

No candy is to be thrown into the crowd that may encourage children to run into the path of the parade. You may toss candy but please be aware of children. 
Parents, please watch out for your children.  Be Safe, Enjoy the Parade and most importantly HAVE FUN! 

Parade Participation Information (Subject to Change)

  1. Preregistration is REQUIRED. Completed registration forms must be submitted to the Parade Committee by online registration on the Goddard Chamber of Commerce website or by email (Chamber@GoddardKansas.us, dropped off in person at the Goddard Chamber of Commerce, 120 W 2nd Street Ste 700, or mailed to The Goddard Chamber PO Box 244 Goddard, KS 67052. No registrations will be taken the day of the parade- NO EXCEPTIONS.
  2. All parade entries will line up at Clark Davidson School. Parade entrants should come to the staging area via Walnut from the north. You must check in at the check-in area at the north drive of Clark Davidson (next to the concession stand). You will get your parade numbers at check in and proceed to line up.
  3. We will be lining up starting at 23rd and Walnut. Parade numbers will be on posts along the road.
  4. Emergency vehicles and color guard will line up on 23rd Street in the eastbound lanes starting at Main Street. These entries do not need to check in with parade coordinators. We will start moving the rest of the parade onto 23rd at 9:50 am.
  5. Trailers that are hauling entries for the parade, car clubs wanting to enter the parade as a group, Shrine parade entries and horses should form up on the parking area in front of the ball fields and Clark Davidson Elementary. One member of the group should check in and get the parade number for the group.
  6. Horses are the last entry of the parade and are required to clean up any waste as they go through the parade.
  7. The theme of the 2024 Fall Festival is “Down on the Farm.” Entries should incorporate the theme.
  8. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three floats. Checks will be mailed to the address provided on the entry from in the week following Fall Festival. Prizes will be as follows: 1st Place - $500, 2nd Place - $250, 3rd Place - $100
  9. All Marching Bands will line up at Clark Davidson School. Bands will be sent to their parade locations along Walnut 
  10. Bicycles/Walkers must pre-register and will be assigned a parade number. Large groups of walkers must pre-register and check in with the parade committee. If you are wanting to follow your band you must indicate that on your parade registration.
  11. Shrine Units meet north of Clark Davidson School at the Ball Diamonds. Shrine Units should arrive at 9:30 a.m.
  12. Parade ends at 3rd and Main you will be directed to the west. Bands will be picked up by bus at Challenger Intermediate School. You must keep going on 3rd to the west to allow the parade to get off of Main Street

NOTICES & ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

  1. Candy or items can be handed out or tossed underhanded but not thrown! Violators will be removed from the parade.
  2. Crowds will be held back to the side of the street during the parade by volunteers. Please help keep the path clear for all parade participants.
  3. Unless there is an emergency, participants are not allowed to get on or off of floats or vehicles while they are in motion or anywhere on the parade route.
  4. Drivers of any vehicle must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle liability insurance as required by the State of Kansas. All motorized vehicles in the parade must be operated by an individual at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  5. Participants should be aware that it is possible that an emergency vehicle may need to leave the parade suddenly in the event of an emergency.
  6. This is a controlled, forward-motion parade. To reduce gaps, vehicles should limit their speed to the pace of a slow walk (approximately 5 miles per hour) and stay within two car-lengths of the preceding entry. ONLY Shrine Units will be given extra space to perform. Please take into consideration that marching bands may move at a slower pace. At no time may any vehicle travel at more than 5 miles per hour.
  7. If your entry includes animals, you are expected to have a waste detail walking immediately behind your entry with the appropriate shovels and buckets. If you do not have the appropriate clean-up detail entry in the parade will be denied. Animal must be listed on the entry form. Horses must be bagged or followed by scoopers during the parade. The staging area shall be left as clean as you found it, please!

Goddard Fall Festival 2024 Vendor Registration

Thank you for registering to participate in the Goddard Fall Festival 2024. 

The 2024 Goddard Fall Festival will be held on Thursday, October 11 - Sunday, October 13. Vendors activities will only take place on Saturday, October 12 beginning at 8am and concluding Saturday at 5pm (with the exception of Food Trucks and vendors who make special arrangements with the Goddard Chamber). 

Vendor activities will take place along Main Street, Santa Fe and in Linear Park. 

PLEASE NOTE: Booth space will not be confirmed until payment is received in full. Payments will NOT be accepted the day of the Festival.. If you represent a business that only allows one affiliate at each event, you must pay your registration at least one week in advance as there is often a waiting list.

Booth location is not guaranteed and booths must be paid in full to reserve requested location. We will do our best to accommodate booth selections, but please keep in mind that being an outside event there is always the chance of obstructions, which may shift the booth locations. 

Booths not paid by October 1 will be assessed a $10 additional fee. 

Food Trucks: Please select a Food Truck option in the vendor booth selection (ORANGE BOXES). Food Truck spaces are not reserved and will be first come first served. Please do not select a vendor booth if you intend to bring a Food Truck.

Category B - Commercial, Arts/Crafts, consumer product/services, games, raffle. Non-profit FOOD Booths and activities (this includes giving away free drinks/or food)  15' W X 10'W space: $75.00

Category C - Food Booths- Booths that will be selling food or drinks. Food Booths will be located on Main Street and will close at 5pm. If you wish to be located in Linear Park and stay open after 5pm, please contact the Goddard Chamber. (DOES NOT INCLUDE FOOD TRUCKS):  $100.00

Food Trucks - Full Day/Night  $150.00 Please select a Food Truck option in the vendor booth selection (ORANGE BOXES). Food Truck spaces are not reserved and will be first come first served. Please do not select a vendor booth if you intend to bring a Food Truck.
